THE FAMILY

SO! its been ages since i blogged. Well, i kinda laze around at home. watching animation, movies, screaming, doodling, painting, stretching my fingers, doing housework. Yes, housework. Whatever. OK, so last weekend was my maternal grandmother's 80th birthday; wait, i thought she was 80 last year, why is she still 80? Anyway, i went 2 days before the event to enjoy. PART 1 : Seremban, somewhere near KL?

I followed my cousin to this mall called 'Jusco' which apparantly has starbucks. Thank god. Anyway, Malaysia lives up to its name to actually have mosquitoes in a actual shopping mall. EEWWW.... I was stuck for the first half of the day cuz there wasn't anything interesting. So i slacked off at starbucks reading magazines. There after she treated me to Thai massage.. WEE~!!! pretty shiok lar.

Then after that, i forgot why we were stucked in the mall. So, we ate all the way out, entering every shop that sells edible stuff. LOL. AND, most importantly, i bought donuts!!! Its nice and you don't have to queue up like that bloody hell donut factory.
And it was more eating when i reached my aunt's house. Apparantly, my aunt is known as the chicken rice queen of Malaysia, been on TV shows, newspapers, radio FM.. etc.. well, she laminated those newspaper cuttings... LOL.. bet, she gonna tape her episode which is on-air tml on Malaysia TV. Well, what can i say? CONGRATS lor.. hahahahahah

Then, at night, everyone ate durian. Yes, everyone except me. I don't hate durian but i just don't eat them i don't know why.
So, we skip the rest of it and on saturday morning, i arrived at my grandmother's kampong place. Yes, the word is nostalgic. I even went to the kampong ma-ma shop and their "7-11" .... Nothing much has changed though... just everything seems smaller, or is it ive grown.
PART 2: The Kampong

This is a short dialogue with my aunt (thinks im a good-for-nothing)
ME: Oh, let me help with the cleaning
Aunt: ok, blah blah blah.....put these there
ME: How about the bedsheets?
Aunt: You've changed.
ME: Huh? (silence)
Aunt: No, its just, you've never initated to help in the past.
ME: (silenced)*well......you have to grow up sometime in you life.
The house was full of shit, literally.. ok, shall not go into details, since it was abandoned for about a year already. Its like a "stay there once a year" house. Kinda peaceful cuz its a kampong plus, its on top of the hill, so, i get to see fireworks every new year and all. (for god knows what reason but there were fireworks too last week. for my grandma's birthday maybe?.... hahaaahah)

Before the banquet was the pre-gathering with buffet. As usual,

Oh, and the scary friend of my uncle appeared again. He will appear like for all occasions be it new year or major birthdays ever since i was erm ... ok i can't remember but its like forever. Seriously, hes scary. Once, he sat on my grandma's sofa and the sofa never "rebounce" back resulting in his unique butt print. The scariest part is he appears without any presents! or greetings at least... rude dude. WELL, i volunteered to take pictures for a reason .. LOL..
On the last day was the banquet... those usual "grandmother's birthday" actions came in, you know, those big cake, weird relatives of relatives thingy. Who cares anyway as long as there's food.

When we were back at the house, looking through those old photos were really nostalgic again. hahah... i shall show everyone those pictures next year when i bring a scanner to the kampong.. HAHAHAH.. Anyways, i snapped a "graduate" photo of mine in kindergarten.
Don;t giggle giggle, i bet everyone had that photo somewhere in the grandparent's house. Then finally, 2 hours before everyone went home, my cousin and i did like a "in-prompt-to" balloon-hat show stunt. LOL. Then, before you knew it, relatives were taking pictures. LOL... the power of camera phones... Kinda fun....

Hmmmmm..... compared to my paternal side who likes to shout, my maternal side is really the family i will keep close to my heart. My paternal side is like, i can go on an go forever. One sentence shall sum up what they are like: my 7 year old cousin plays mahjong, period.
Don't get so worked up~ Its just me
