250309. wed. 1531. rainy.So basically right now, im looking at 2 machines that cost like 8 million, taken out of your parents' tax and CPFs. But that is not the main point. The thing is that im in the midst of my sergeant specialization phase and things are getting rather stressful. So one thing i learn is that human can be the most adaptive creatures; they can learn in the most grueling environment under any circumstances.
In army, you will learn something call the 1/3 alert. Means that for every 2 men sleeping, 1 man will have to be awake. Theoretically, that is how it is. But to us, 1/3 alert means 1/3 awake. It means to stay awake only 1/3 when there's a chance to. Not that we want to, but this is a very valuable skill you acquire to rejuvenate yourself in order to prepare your body for any upcoming traumas.
The other sort of skill you acquire or adapt to is to de-stress yourself out of anything you can find. i.e tickling your friends, or sipping a cold cup of syrup. All these may seem common civilian context, but somehow, we manage to fully push the entertainment bar of these mundane stuff to the limit.
Overall, i feel that this adaptability which cannot be seen by your civilian friends will somehow aid you when you translate them in future. It will help build your mental stamina and endure through meetings and those reports. Definitely, in future when you meet up with stress of any kind, you are able to get a cup of syrup, sip and think, "come on~!, its just life, Chill man"

Met my t.u.b. or the KUMAR stand-up comedy at esplanade after lunch. I always wanted to see funny this man really is after my BMT buddy bee jun told me about him when he went to a pub cum dinner with his GF.

People don't meet organically anymore. They don't go get a new haircut or anything, they update their profiles.

Announcement: for AFSN POLY MATES! to meet this coming saturday night. sms me!
So im thinking about stuff lately and i realise why be so uptight about everything man. We should take everything with a pinch of salt. I need a proper job to keep myself on track. This whole army training thing is making me dizzy and i can't see my path properly.
Nowadays there are so many books and movies about the society on a friend-friend level. You kinda see your life gets act out. Like these books or movies are speaking to you. They might be slightly more drama since its a movie, but still, are our lives really that screwed up? Come on man!!!
Then ultimately, they ask you one question : Are you happy with your life now?
Are you? If not, then why are you not doing something? Ok, i understand, economic crisis. That explains the increase sales in APPLE and so many people buying new LCD TVs at the suntec IT show.
Oh my god!!! I think i just miss my poly life. again. yes. again.
Well, i guess i blabbered enough of my random nonsense this week. See ya next weekend when i return to Earth.

So i think its been a long time since i blogged about a normal day out. Maybe cuz huiyee went to US and Tim went to Aussie and Eunice is busy with boyfriend. Still, t.u.b. still met up and went out with whos ever left.. (on the shelf).. LOL... whatever.
First we went walking around. I finally went into this shop called ARC at esplanade. The shoes are @*#)$)@(#!!!!!! nice...... but its not on sale like everything else in the shop!!! WHY!!!!! and bloody hell cost 435 bucks... BUT IT IS SICK!!!! DAMN SICK!!! end up, i got a tee and gek got something for her brother. nice shop though. WHEN WILL THE SHOE GO HALF PRICE!!Then we took off flight to the Singapore Flyer~~~~~!!!! It was a traumatic experience for me since im afraid of heights. Still, i managed to take some pictures. No more next time for me.... ... Singapore Flyer IS scary, period.
Then headed to Rakuzen at millienia walk for dinner, arcade, movie. PLEASE do not watch the thai movie "coming soon".... it is so stupid. not even scary i would say, all the tactics are used in other movies like ju-on, the eye, mirrors before. SAWADICUP thai people!! can you people just make funny or love movies?! i think horror is just not your genre!!Somewhere mid point, i BUMPED into germaine!!!!! We have been trying to meet up but we couldn't because our schedules keeps clashing. But SEE!!! this means we are friends with people because of fate!! If its meant to be its meant to be... ... vice versa .. :(
Anyway, Arcade was fun except i couldn't understand why Amy spent like $30 on this candy machine to try and get a jackpot and we end up with some fruitellas and mentos.. LOL... risk taker? But the mario go kart machine was DAMN fun!!! would like to go again. they take a picture of you then put you into the screen when you play. Then theres silly attacks like your opponents face will be messing up your wind screen so as to confuse you. LOL.... very childish but i like it. :) unlike the same old same old Grand Turismo.....
Sometimes all i need is just a day out to let out all those stress, madness, sadness, and whatever shit that i get in life. e.g. my father's other son messing up my com, net, my auntie getting so hysterical about her grandson's 1st Bday (im just the uncle OK! im not the father or anything). SERIOUSLY!!!! why is everyone expecting so much from me.

I NEED MY SPACE OKAY! i only get to book out every weekend and that comes only after the sigh of relief when your name is not read out for weekend guard duty. YOU ALL BLOODY THINK NS IS EASY!! For my father's other son it is of course cuz he's a wayang king officer. GIVE ME A BREAK!..... ok, i got carried away..

Its being almost 6 months since i entered the army. Before i realise, i would be turning 21, a true blue adult they call. My adventure in life is really to begin and i ponder, despite the fact that we are all going to reach adulthood, why does issues of growing up still seem to surface? That leads to my question, "will we ever grow up?"
There are some things in life you just can't get over. You will carry this little baggage with you throughout your life, and many atime its because you couldn't bear to let it go.
Fairytales as a child seem so real, and you would rather believe that life is like fiction because you were convinced that if your faith was strong enough, that pumpkin might just turn into a horse carriage.
