Don't get so worked up~ Its just me

being looping this. haha, maybe u can play it while reading my post below

Don't get so worked up~ Its just me

time

Time, everyone has 24 hours of it a day but it never seem enough. Time plays such a important factor in our daily lives but i think we all seem to have forgotten about it because it gets faster and faster and the next thing you know, you suddenly have kids, then second time you realize, you are on your way there.

I once asked a friend if he can have one super power what would it be? And his answer was to be able to control time. If you can really control time, can you finally meet the right person at the right time? can you turn back time and delete all the awful stuff you said to your loved ones?

Since there is really no way to turn back time, shouldn't we treasure every moment we share with loved ones? Why do humans still pick to argue, fight over the meaningless in life? Another friend said, in the midst of pursuing status and fortune, she somehow have lost a part of herself. If we use time to exchange for money, will we be able to use the money we earned to buy back the time we have already lost with our loved ones? And even if we are able to get a time slot in the lives of our loved ones, will it still be the same? A maid spends all her time as a mother to her employer's kids but in the mean time, her own kids have grown up without one.

In a world of uncertainty, can anyone guarantee your loved ones will still be there after you finish your race?

Old photos, new map
Saturday, June 20, 2009

I went to the friendster account for one last time before i seal it up in cyber black hole. And i found these old photos during my Temasek Poly days. Now i know why my results aint that good as compared to the tops. It kinda hit me when i apply for unis. Well, i didnt get to mass apply i would say, cuz i didnt make the cut for certain Universities. But there they were, the last years of my teenage/young adult youth. Although it was kinda expensive to pay a grade, it was worth it. :)

Oh and im now the official photographer for my army company. :). But yeah, the picture above is a map i did for this Run the bridging engineers are organising this coming July. The captain wanted something cute and cartoonish to replace the usual boring map. Actually the final map had a teletubby land complete with the 4 teletubbic freaks (not a fan). Am looking forward to do more design/art stuff for the army, apart from the off days as incentives, i like the fact i have something to contribute unique to myself.

hungry?
Sunday, June 14, 2009

Okay, i was suppose to blog about this other thing i wrote in my little black organiser but i guess i shall talk more about FOOD this week. Now that its recession time, i think the ones that suffer most aren't actually us, the city dwellers. THE group of people that suffer most are actually those living in 3rd world countries where they depend on world aid organisations like world food programme. The website has this new quote that says:

Cristiano Ronaldo = 520 Million School Meals

just comparing how the rich and influential can actually be of sooo much help. Since im neither rich nor influential (yet), i could probably blog about it so some kind readers would donate or something. This organisation has a nutrition department as i read, and i hope i could do something in future.

So while you are complaining how much recession has affected the size of your wardrobe, think about those whose stomachs have been forced to shrink. Alright, im no goody-good-shoes saint or anything, just thought this might be a good time to share all these, instead of talking so much about financial planning all day long.

older or w(V)iser?
Wednesday, June 10, 2009

So just now around 7 plus when i was changing buses near Temasek Poly, I passed by a bunch of "TEENS". Yeah, you hear me, im going to be classified as an adult in about 4 months time. God.... ... Looking at them made me realised how much youth i have used up, or rather how mature i had become. Im pretty glad i did "grew up" little or much, and not just grew older. Maybe its army? But im beginning to view in a whole new different angle now. Good or bad? I hold no answer but to hope this new vision will breed me a better person.

The sight of these poly students gave me flashbacks of poly life once again; which never fail to put a smile on my face. I shall look forward to my University life and live my life dynamically again!

And i've been reading this "Rich Dad Poor Dad" book. At first i thought it must be some lame book telling people that people from rich families have more than people from poorer families. But NO! its about financial intelligence and stuff. So yah, and it prompted me to see what the financial world is like and i signed up for forex. LOL. not that i have any money to trade lar. The package is like 10K to start, which i know nothing about and will most probably lose everything. I just wanted to have a feel of meddling with money.

Yes, yes, yes, there is no quick way to success and get rich BUT you got to give it to me for having the balls to test water and the interesting things i discovered:

Enlarge to read the conversation. LOL. You watched SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE right? You know the main character worked for this internet phone company thing telling people they are calling from New york or something? At first i thought the replies im getting is so STANDARD that the person im talking to must be a computer programme. hahah.. BUT NO!

So i asked the online chat operator if he was working from India in some sub-contracted company. hahah. The operator actually answered my lame question. Well, in case you don't know, our taxi booking services are heard to be sub-contracted to phillipines i think thats why we always cannot understand VHAT VHE FISH VHEY VARE SHEYING!!!!!

Relationship karmas
Sunday, June 7, 2009

Im on the third season of Sex and the City for the second time and heres Ms Carrie Bradshaw's take on karma,

While i always ascribed thoughts of karma to the fortune cookie psychology. I wonder, does a string of bad dates really equals to one good one? And will treating someone badly in one relationship ensure that you will be treated badly in the next? Does everything that goes around really come around? If so, will it really come around and bite you in the ass? Is there such a thing as relationship karma?

that saturday night
Saturday, June 6, 2009

My BMT mate sent me this photo he took. I really love the colours. Okay, today i was suppose to do up my designs but i keep procrastinating, even while writing this post. Maybe its the weather. Its so warm these days that i cant seem to get anything done without air-conditioning. Yeah, i tried to use the fan but its just not working for me anymore. Are we really going to melt soon? Honestly speaking i fear global warming not just because my wardrobe would be confined to low thread count tee shirts and really short shorts but the fact that everything became gloomier these days. Maybe its the economy. Or maybe im watching too much of sex and the city that Ms Carrie Bradshaw's 30s mentality has eat into mine.

Currently, serving the army is getting kind of dreadful. Urgh. Im really trying to enjoy it but honestly its really now right boring. I try to plan all the stuff i want to do for the weekend but once you reach it, you dont have the zest to carry out the list, well, at least for now.

And i missed out University of Queensland while applying at IDP last Sat. I didnt know they offer my course too. Now i have to fork out AU120

Last thing, why do we let junk into our bodies when we spend so much effort to maintain it? Those chips, fried food and alcohol. hmmmmm....

SIANSATIONAL CAMP LIFE
Wednesday, June 3, 2009

So im in camp now and its going to get pretty bored here soon.

Things available here are:
1) pool table
2) 2 computers --always occupied
3) table soccer table
4) 2 TVs
5) Beer

out of which only the computer i could actually use cuz i suck at the table soccer, pool and hello? only the seniors drink here.

Maybe its time i hone my skills in pool, table soccer and maybe i should start to take soccer and basketball lessons. Honestly, the only sports i can play are volleyball, swim, marbles(is that a sport?) and ........... oh ya... captain's ball. LOL...
