Watched Bruno and The proposal over the weekend. Must still say that Bruno sucks although i have used every cyber possible way to express it. The proposal is the cliche of all cliche romantic comedies i have seen. BUT i still love it. LOL.

T.U.B. then head out to alphabet bar to hang out over alcohol and tea. We talked about random stuff then all of a sudden we discussed about the proposal then to love. hahaha. So i didn't give last night's topic much thought until i continued to watch Zettai Kareshi.

Zettai kareshi is about old cliche love between this OL and her robot; just like romeo and juliet or say [ insert cliche love story ]. Basically, its the unconventional type of love.

So i gave last night's discussion some thought. Love is blind. Love is irrational. For that is what love should be. Love should not be given second thoughts for it is not a decision made not by neurons in our brains but one that is made by the heart.

We humans analyse every single thing to minimize the chances of failure. Self help books on almost every topic you can think of. Sometimes when i come across self help books on love i wonder how true they are. Can a complete stranger really give you some form of enlightenment on this age old topic?

Love, a question that would remain as one until the answer comes along.

HOLGA
Thursday, August 20, 2009

Today i received a package as i came back from camp. I swear sometimes, they try to work me to death. Most of the time, free stuff are never treated with value anyway. Stuff = me. Yes.

Holga with 2 special films

I don't usually buy stuff online because i think the how point of buying is like retail therapy, going to a shop, choosing, paying and end up with something in your hand. But I realised how much cheaper it is to get your stuff though virtual openings.

So this is a Holga mini film camera. I bought a yellow one but there is black, grey, purple, red... etc. Love a camera's aesthetics and the moments it is able to capture. Shall get a collectible kind next. Those with like leather trimmings and stuff, maybe a fish eye. But i should prolly get a portrait lens first. 2nd hand maybe? Same quality, just cheaper. :)

I finally get OFF day, FINALLY. I'm going to rest well man. Body maintenance is what they call it in camp. LOL. When i get the time, will take some pictures with my new toy! :)

150809 cloudy

Apologies for the poor lighting for this photo, photoshop down and i can't edit. My army company had course closing for a batch of trainees we handled over the past 2 months. Fortunately, the video Jonathan and i made for them bring back all the memories of their sweat and tears. Heartwarming i would say. I'm a sucker for these touching moments. :)

Earlier on, as i march them out of the camp for the last time as trainees, I'm actually smiling in my heart; to see them come such a long way. My army life so far has not been "camouflaged" into the background. Ironically, i experienced a lot of colours; people from different walks of life, each unique with their own abilities or problems to deal with.

My family would nag at me if they found out how much my camera cost but they will never know how this trusty camera captured the smiles, tears, sweat of many which money can never buy.

Shoes i painted with acrylic paint. Amy said its nice but i think trees are the easiest to paint. If you ask me to paint any other stuff, it would probably turn out looking like Michael Jackson.

I cant wait for my brother to go Aussie and study. I really cannot understand why some people can be so unkempt and on top of that be oblivion to the fact that he is affecting people around him. I don't think he reads this space but he really needs to know he has his own room and he should stop interfering into my comfort zone because whenever someone says his name, i just get irritated because it reminds me of how i want to kill him whenever i come home from camp. He NEVER and i repeat NEVER fail to piss me off with his worn pants on my floor, his chargers on my table and his fugly bags on my bed; oh yah and his shopping bags, on the FLOOR IS IN MY ROOM TOO! I really don't care whether they are police or armani exchange, to me its his and they should go to his room.

In months to come, i will pack everything in my room, re-paint, re-arrange, some new furniture. And just so you didn't receive it, ALL thanks to ikea magazine to feel that my room needs some touch up.

21 things i would like to blog about
Thursday, August 6, 2009

As the title suggest i should have alot i wanna share. But no, i really dont. Life has been taking or rather dragging me here and there so much that my anchor doesnt seem heavy enough to hold me still. I used to be one of those people who can juggle everything; studies, work, play, social. Used to be that is.

Sometimes i wonder if all these have anything to do with turning 21. Paying your own bills, handling your own insurance and admin stuff. No longer will your parents do everything for you. Not as though my parents did any admin for me, its just that turning legal brings much responsibilities attached to the extra "freedom" if any.

A thought came up to me recently if i have spent too much of my time cyber-profiling myself and neglected the fact that you dont have to blog about every single event to prove anything. You just have to know you are leading the life you want to and nothing else really matters. Yup, there will be 21 things i would like to blog about. Till then, i'd move on with life.

Heres a video on Zah's blog that i find very interesting and the tune really suits my mood. :)

So i just watched the "SING DOLLAR" play by local talents whom i think are the best available in Singapore. The talented cast got together and in my opinion created something that is raw, upfront and very very local flavoured. Although media thinks that they are stereotyping and on the verge of criticising certain groups of people e.g. bangla, pinoys, chi-NAs, i personally think that is what makes it bold. Certain issues within this island is just not discussed much despite the fact they are indeed affecting our lives. Thus, i give 4 stars out of 5 to this local play for being entertaining and very SINGAPOliiiiiiiiiaaaannnn.

The Play aside, recently i have been so busy with training that i kinda lost track of my own stuff. Till now then i have the time to actually sit in front of my com and relax abit, surf the net and all. Yeah, i still have to make a video slideshow for my end of course trainees and this and that and this and that. Neverending list.

New tasks just keeps piling that sometimes, i wonder when will i have nothing on hand. I set out to do so many, picked up a little on the way, and nothing is really completed. I guess i have to really step it up to clear my list.
