AIDS AWARENESS POSTCARD

We actually took like 400mb of photos on sunday. Since our school has this AIDS postcard competition, and i happen to have something that looks like a condom, i decided to join. Tomorrow's the last day, better hurry.

money IS important

As the title suggest, you should know what i mean by that. IM BROKE! dunno where i spend my money. I mean, i get allowance, work and all. But it just seems never enough. Sometimes i wish i can control my spending and save up some money.

Then, i can use that spare cash to spend it on necessities. I won't have to check every month whether my company pays me, which i totally hate, cuz there has been errors for the past 3 months. Also, i won't have to get braces done by a post grad. Mind you, the waiting time, the "whats going on?", the "see you next year, i got the size wrong" . OMG. seriously, money IS important. From now on, i shall only buy Vogue and save the rest so i won't fall into the hands of budget service in future.

Sunday morning while all of you guys are still in bed, Bei, Germs, Huiyee and me did something. a photoshoot.

The things we didn't have:

1) 'real' photographer
2) 'real' set

3) 'real' make-up artist

4) 'real' fashion designer

5) 'real' model

Things we will always have,

1) FRIENDS and a whole lot of creativity

The story behind this outfit goes like this. After seeing yixian designed a costume worn by vanessa, Bei fang thought that he might be capable to produce somthing she can wear to her cousin's wedding in september. And Yixian wanted to do something that is very "bei fang", which means no dress, no frills, but something sporty but couturish, like a mix between Stella Mccartney and McQueen.. Then he thought if he used black, bei fang would look like a burglar. He was also into the space theme Dolce and Gabbanna used. TADA! the space pant suit appearred. Unfortunately, Bei Fang's cousin's wedding isnt in space. Moreover, Yixian still thinks its nice on photos.

First, i was pissed cuz stupid TP cancelled the drawing workshopdue to lack of participants. ARGH.

Then, i am happy! cuz apparantly, we are going to do a "photoshoot" for my new design this sunday. LOL. Supposedly, the main point was to come up with something that was very "beifang". But it ended up looking like bei fang was suffocating. I think the outfit still has some of its artistic value.

WAHAHAHA, i shall share this with you guys

Star Blogger Michelle Quek said an ang moh and his friend attacked her and her friend after her school bag accidentally hit the woman.

In an email to STOMP this morning (16 Nov), she said this happened at about 1pm yesterday in Toa Payoh Hub.

She said it all started when her schoolbag accidentally hit the woman as she was walking. She believes the woman is the ang moh's girlfriend and could be Singaporean as she also spoke in Hokkien.

"After bumping into her, she started throwing vulgarities at me," Michelle said. "At first I thought she's some crazy woman who goes around shouting at people, so I ignored her.

"A few minutes later, she attacked me from the back! She hit my back with her umbrella but thank god she missed! Instead of my back, she got my schoolbag!

"I turned and asked her what her problem was. She was shouting, telling the whole world that I bumped into her. She tried to flee after everyone said that she's the one at fault by hitting my back."

Michelle said the woman went into NTUC supermarket, where they had a heated exchange words. This is Michelle's account:

She: Back off! I'm calling the 911!
Me: Hello, this is Singapore, you do not call 911 here, you call 999!.
She: Back off, I'm calling 911 now.
She: I'm gonna call the 911 now.
Me: It's 999.
She: Fine. I’ll call 911 now.
Me: Go ahead. I'll wait for you, please go ahead and call the police.
She: Why must I call the police? You call lah.
Me: Cos I thot you said you wanna call 911?
She: I don’t have a phone, you call.
Me: This is Singapore, you do not go around hitting people with your umbrella then call 911, and I'm sure you can’t do the same even if you are in America.

Its been awhile since james morrison type songs hit me. Got to know from seng guan about Jamie Scott and the town. His when will i see your face again is really nice. When you hear it, its like you feel the weights off your shoulders.

It seems that i have come to life's many crossroads once again. why does this remind me of britney's movie, crossroads? which leads me singing gimme gimme.....As i was saying, it has come to a point where i have to make decisions which is one thing i dont really like. Im really the indecisive type.

Theres something troubling me is my poly dynamic interest range. It draining my time and money. My parents kept saying, " You learn everything, you think very good meh? Jack of all trade, master of none. " Blame it on my short attention span; i can't really do something over and over again. I get easily bored. But i think what im doing is cross learning. Seriously speaking, it works. I didnt know everything is linked. IT, science, business, design and even engineering. Now i know why we did so many subjects in secondary school. Things like business IT, biomedical engineering came about when you marry different things together. Who knows? maybe one day i come up with clothes that provides Vitamin C. Oh, and miuccia prada has a phD in political science.

To my parents: yes, the amount of salt you eat these years is measurably more than all the rice i eat. Ok, im thinking this is not justifiable for some teens who don't eat carbs/rice. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. Anyways, just when i thought of stopping all the extra things i kaypo myself into, jamie scott stopped me.

Okay, no he didnt. Its just that i see my certs and the things i did throughout poly, i-guides, aikido, open house, OCP, ethnic chic, DRP and all the camps and all. All these gave me so much to reminisce when i graduate. I mean, i can truly say my poly life is so dynamic and the only thing i haven done would be paying of my library fines. Damn im going to miss poly life (without the exams parts).

Okay, back on life's issues. Maybe i shouldn't have goals that are too specific. Afterall, success can come in alot of ways. I don't have to change path or anything. I can always take part time. Speaking of that, i was thinking of taking part time photography at NAFA next year when i graduate. These school education we receive is just one way to it, shouldn't treat it like WAH, must get A or not i will eat the textbook. Hahaha, which made me flash back about this morning. Charissa was asking Mdm Ong what subjects will be tested for term test.... LOL. Mind you, we are only in the 1st month of school.

On a separate issue, i think CLEO sucks big time. I grab it off the shelf of 7-11 just now cuz i seem to have read every style, vogue, bazaar available this month. I bet they are surviving on their yearly bachelor issue where they get guys to strip for cash. AND Guess what? Sofy body fit decide to advertise this issue. Pad anyone(girl)?

ND quiz is tml and i know i shouldnt be blogging now. But seriously, i bet everyone feels the same. I mean, its the last semester and everyone is feeling kinda lousy in the sense that they would like to graduate NOW. It feels draggy.

Anyways, Intan and I were early for CSAS lessons today. So we decide to camwhore abit.

And here we were trying to do the signature GERMAINE smile pose with her head slightly tilted to create angle.

Then Yingxiao joins in too, and unwillingly Qiu Xia and Charissa.

The pictures are kinda big but i prefer this to the previous tinies.

China recycling used condoms as cheap hair bands

Used condoms are being recycled into hair bands in southern China, threatening to spread sexually-transmittable diseases they were originally meant to prevent, state media reported Tuesday.

In the latest example of potentially harmful Chinese-made products, rubber hair bands have been found in local markets and beauty salons in Dongguan and Guangzhou cities in southern Guangdong province, China Daily newspaper said.

"These cheap and colourful rubber bands and hair ties sell well ... threatening the health of local people," it said.

Despite being recycled, the hair bands could still contain bacteria and viruses, it said.
"People could be infected with AIDS, (genital) warts or other diseases if they hold the rubber bands or strings in their mouths while waving their hair into plaits or buns," the paper quoted a local dermatologist who gave only his surname, Dong, as saying.

A bag of ten of the recycled bands sells for just 25 fen (three cents), much cheaper than others on the market, accounting for their popularity, the paper said.

A government official was quoted as saying recycling condoms was illegal.
China's manufacturing industry has been repeatedly tarnished this year by a string of scandals involving shoddy or dangerous goods made for both domestic and foreign markets.

In response, it launched a public relations blitz this summer aimed at playing up efforts to strengthen monitoring systems.

China.... Whats new? seriously.

Last night, or should i say this morning, Amy went home at 3am. Anyways, the purpose of coming to my house was because Amy wanted to bake durian cupcakes for shegar's deepavali. Then, i asked Amy to fit my half-finished gown for me to take like a draft picture. Snowball rolled and it became like a cam whore session. LOL. just that this time there's a gown i made from scratch. Vanessa~ Vanessa~! this is the actual piece u saw from my handphone. And Huiyee say she can take photos. Her camera is so much better. So excited~!!

What will you do if you win like 30 over million dollars from lottery? I will definitely get myself a private jet. But seriously, who would thought of bringing hogwarts to reality? This guy call elwood "bunky" recently won the 30 over million lottery, in US dollars. He plans to use the money to make Hogwarts a reality. But seriously, he looks more like hagrid than dumbledore, and he has 2 children but dumbledore is gay according to JK rowling. What? you didnt know? now you do... silly rowling... she practically killed all the children.
