Actually, the reason for coming home on a thursday was purely to take a hot water bath and settle my own admin stuff. Training people is very very taxing!!!! Have not slept on my own bed for 2 weeks already. I should get going already but my ass is stuck to the chair. I mean, do you people find facebook a waste of time? I think im spending too much time on it in the sense everytime i get on the com, i check my email, then facebook and then blog. Oh, and i think this year's NDP song sucks. SORRY! but im not a fan. I prefer the old cliche type where i feel so damn patriotic about listening. Come on, NDP song is for the mass, i think electrico should take that into consideration when writing the song.
Sometimes i wonder, how can a person who isnt all about army actually psycho people to like it? Alright, got to go off now.

So the first acceptance letter came today. This is actually the fastest route to my short term goal but hmmm.... i guess i have to apply for a few more uni from different countries to actually derive at a final decision.Don't get so worked up~ Its just me
Limits
This week was quite a hectic week for me. I kinda gave myself a new vocation; combat photographer. Sounds unrealistic but im really glad about my privilege capturing moments that just might be of great significance in someone's life.This week we dealt with boats and true colours reveal. It doesnt matter how kind a person is towards you during pleasant times because everything comes to light when faced with adversity. It is during tough times that you learn more about yourself. Sometimes, you might just be disappointed at the little mental strength you realise you possess. Or if you manage to survive the ordeal, you gain respect for yourself.
So everytime when you think you have reached your limit, have you really given it all? Or you just "thought" you have nothing left because the pain has forced a decision upon you; to give up. They say the sky is the limit but how high the sky is, nobody really knows, do they?

Above is the blackout cocktail and its not bad. :) Last night was the opening for this art exhibition at a pre-developed warehouse. So I decided to join Jasper to check it out.
Not surprised at the MJ pictures. Everyone is doing it :S
I must say they are well-organised because they controlled the crowd entering the gallery so it wasn't crowded at all. However, cuz the place is pre-developed, there wasn't any air-conditioning! BLOODY HOT.
Flying by Dawn Ng if i remembered correctly. My favourite piece cuz it felt like its "frozen in action". Pretty original for what i seen so far.
Oh.... bird cages yet again. but the overall effect was still nice cuz of the lighting.
The lightings that are reflected by the mirrors at the pillars so it looked connected with all the rest of the stretch. Jasper thought it looked 881 though. hmmmm... it did looked quite done before but its a nice visual addition to the collection.
This is called "thrash" by a chinese artist.... hmmmmm..... The shadow is someone throwing up in the toilet. I think its bulimic disorder. Which makes sense because bulimia is a eating disorder which is largely contributed by low self-esteem. The patient think that they are so fat but they still gorge but throw everything up afterwards. Thrash, is what they see themselves as.
I must say the collection is pretty well curated and organised. Quite cool!

Was at the airport just now to send me nieces off back to Australia. :( Will only get to see them maybe end of this year? Thats if i get to go over but i might have other plans, :P.. but i do hope i get to visit them though time is an issue.July is always the busiest for me because all the overseas people are back. I have been trying my very best to squeeze all my time for my family and friends who are back to visit. Although its true to say that air tickets are so affordable nowadays we can just fly over to where ever our loved ones are, who really does that?

Thats all my closest nephew and nieces, minus baby johan cuz i think he fell asleep already! hahahaha. Come to think of it, producing your own family aint that bad right? hahahaha.. but seriously, a family can be made up of not just people of your same blood, they could be anyone. :)Here i introduce my special friends of besties from secondary school all the way until now.
After all these pictures, im very sure you are convinced i've gained at least 2 kg or more..... from eating at all these places!!!I dont have any time for myself these few weeks but i feel so high like im the one on holiday. LOL. Love the times we catch up and laugh over silly issues we encounter. I know not everyone has friends and family like me thus i should be appreciating instead of whining about day to day events. So those people who are always waiting for their friends and family to call on them, i hope you dont cry father and mother when they all move on with their lives without you because it takes two hands to clap.
On a more serious note, we are all embarking on our own adventure in life, University, career, marriage, kids. Times like these may get lesser and lesser. :( I came across a quote recently and it made alot of sense.
I know not what the future holds, but i know who holds it.
No matter what my future holds for me, i want all of my family and friends around to share it. :)

So this is the finally weekend Jermaine, Jertaime and Jersyn will be spending with us before they return to melbourne. We went to shop around suntec and marina before heading to aquamarine for buffet dinner. The spread is not bad but i still prefer shangri-la's.
I like those small small portions that resembles gastronomic food.
We saw Moses Lim cooking and i was like, SERIOUS? recession hit so bad? turn out he's some embassador for good food and doing his routine promotion. Moses Lim is one of the rarer social-legally fat people around. Fat but people like them that way and they can indulge in whatever they can put in their mouths. LOL. They can still be so socially well accepted and get girls. Don't you envy them?Haven been able to update much because i've been going out alot lately. July seems like THE expenses month, doubt i will save any money this month :P....
P.S. parents: dont kill me!!

Come september would make it my full year in NS. Some see this as a test, a challenge. When you are pushed into a completely foreign environment unwillingly, u fight or take flight. My family didnt really expect me to acheive any sort of honour or such. Ironically, they just pray that i get a 8-5 admin job, serve and well, f*** off. But why should i cheat myself out of a risky situation? Afterall, its only 2 years if you look on the bright side. ha.Though i only managed to get a place in SISPEC and not OCS, im actually still pretty glad. At times, i think God somehow plan this route for me. Alright, i cant really blog out my thoughts right now cuz my life is now busy meeting friends and family coming back to Singapore. Well, till then~!!! :)

Last saturday was Qiu Xia's 21st birthday and im the photographer. Have been taking lots of pictures both in camp and out. Not complaining though it was quite taxing. Was slightly swearing when i made my way through chalet that smell as though they were all on fire. Its like a birthday village and everyone was having their parties.

Nothing special about this guy but the fact that WE WERE PRIMARY SCHOOLMATES@#(#)(@#*$@(~!!! and he was my classmate, Tracy's boyfriend. Tracy reminded me of tinky winky from teletubbies. You get the picture. LOL. Anyway, i didnt realise until someone call him (his name is uncommon). CAN THIS WORLD GET ANY SMALLER?

When i saw this, i thought to myself, actually it doesnt matter whether your birthday is held at a fancy hotel or at a downtown chalet. Its enough to see so many hands light up your birthday cake.
Qiu xia looks so blessed in these 2 shots. Quite happy with the outcome. Doest matter the colour, the framing, the shutter speed but i think i managed to capture genuine happiness on frame that night.Mushy stuff aside, whats a birthday without a cam-whoring session. LOL. and yes, temptation is overwhelming. If you cant beat it, i say join it.
Still have loads to update on man. URGH. I just need like 10 hours on the computer to finish all my stuff!!!!
